Comprised of a hardwood and plywood backing, the Zig Zag Fireplace is a striking marriage of sculptural elegance and architectural presence. Designed with a bold geometric relief of symmetrical zig zagging fins, this statement piece reimagines the traditional fireplace with a distinctly modern sensibility. Handcrafted in our Georgia, US studio, this fireplace surround is crafted from a wood base. The piece is then sculpted with a complex gypsum and micro-concrete base. After curing, the fireplace is sanded then stain and sealant coats are applied the entire piece to add to durability, and longevity.
